About this artwork

Part of my process as an artist is my connection with nature. It's not that inspiration comes from seeing nature, but more than that, inspiration and ideas come from curiously approaching nature and searching for details and new perspectives. One of the ways I do this by taking mental photos of these details...a sliver of grass, the light on a horizon, the way light moves through a cloud...my mind moves in on tiny details and takes visual notes thereby… deconstructing the landscape into pieces which become the inspiration for the line, texture, and color later on.

This is part of the Uncharted series of 2021. It is framed in a pecan-toned box floater and framed, it measures 30 and 3/4 inches by 30 and 3/4 inches. The profile is 2 inches. It is wired and ready to hang. See photos for pics of the frame.It comes with a handwritten thank you note from the artist.
