About this artwork
Through this work, I use oil and pigments to sculpt a figurative landscape, where shapes and colors interact in harmony. Each line is a pulse of life, each nuance a breath of emotion. By anchoring itself in the imagination, this painting is an invitation to travel, offering a burst of serenity and inspiration to any space. The energy that emanates from it will enchant your home, evoking nature and its subtle reflections.
Clara Ramirez Katz was born in Medellin, Colombia. She moved to Paris in 1979, where she lives and works.
The artist first learned textile design at the École supérieure des arts appliqués et métiers d'arts (ENSAAMA), then continued her studies in fashion design at the École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode (ESMOD). Having shown a tropism for the world of art since her adolescence, the artist ultimately decided to free herself from the world of textiles to devote herself entirely to plastic creation.
Clara Ramírez Katz then continued her training at the Port Royal Academy and then at the Saint Roch Academy under the guidance of the founder Jean Bertholle (1909-1996), a painter and engraver representative of the heterogeneous movement, the New School of Paris.
