About this artwork
The “Memory in Motion” Series is a five-piece collection captured during a traditional Chinese song and dance performance in Lijiang, China (2025). Each image echoes the one before it - a seamless progression of rhythm, light, and gesture that transforms movement into a visual meditation on memory and grace. This series is presented as a complete set of five archival prints measuring approximately 40" high x 21" wide, with slight variations in width… only to preserve the integrity of each composition. Presented as a Limited Edition series of only eight sets worldwide, every print is crafted to the highest archival standards, signed and numbered by the artist, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Self-educated, Danny Johananoff thrives in photographing unique moments, often referencing world cultures. He paints with his camera, utilizing slow shutter speeds for abstraction and meaningful camera movement, engendering seemingly unfocused images that establish vivid color palettes for visual harmony. Mesmerized by far-flung locations and rich cultural experiences, his images encapsulate a radiant muse and strive to stir emotions akin to orchestral harmonies singing across desert dunes.
