It is a carnivoran native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List because the wild population is estimated at fewer than 10,000 mature individuals and continues to decline due to habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and inbreeding depression.
In this artwork, I captured the vibrant spirit and delicate beauty of the red panda, nestled among… lush foliage and intricate textures. Each stroke of my pen and the vivid hues of colored pencil I chose were intended to honor the red panda's enchanting presence and the peaceful sanctuary of its natural habitat. My goal was to evoke a sense of wonder and a deeper connection to the natural world, bringing a harmonious and inspiring energy into any space.
Medium: color Schneider ballpoint pens and Cretacolor pencils.
Material: Fedrigoni recycled paper.
