About this artwork
This work arose from a very intense, almost unusual feeling. During the creative process, I felt the emotion extremely strongly – something that rarely happens to me. That's precisely what makes this painting special to me.
I had no clear plan or fixed idea. Everything developed intuitively in the moment. The forms, structures, and movements emerged from this state – raw, honest, and direct.
The combination of structure, color, and free lines… reflects this inner process. It's not about depicting something concrete, but rather about making a feeling visible – a state between control and letting go.
For me, this work is an example of how powerful art can be when it is not planned, but simply allowed to happen.
David Zurbriggen is a self-taught painter, photographer, and digital artist whose artistic journey emerged from intense phases of personal transformation.
His abstract works are primarily created with acrylic on canvas and are defined by dynamic layering, strong contrasts, and a distinctive intuitive visual language. Within his compositions, he combines depth, energy, and movement, while carefully crafted textures and structures make emotions tangible.
His art transforms chaos into balance and invites the viewer to experience strength, harmony, and inner resilience on an emotional level.
Art is created through feelings — and everyone has feelings. That is why everyone is an artist in their own way.
