The fluorescent shades evoke an exacerbated effervescence, dynamism, vitality. Using a knife, the artist scrapes… the paint off the surface of the canvas as if to free himself from weight, excess weight that is too heavy, chains, etc. It is through the process of creation that Dessein frees itself, emancipates itself, sheds its knots.
