(Important clarification)
It is rare for subjects to agree to show it publicly.
Of course, one must be interested in oneself to desire such a work.
Nothing but the desire to discover and learn.
Denis Cailliez, active in various fields before devoting himself to painting, primarily uses acrylics and gouache, emphasizing the importance of wood as a medium. Preferring a realistic style, he seeks to illuminate the truth of things through the play of light and color on the texture of the wood. Through his work, he invites the viewer on an inner journey filled with reveries, meditations, and subtle smiles, inevitably evoking a strong sense of freedom and introspection. Precise, richly hued paintings are difficult to convey through web photography. A professional screen improves things somewhat. The wood is treated to be as smooth as glass, which is ideal for brushstrokes. Canvas work is similar, with the addition of gesso if necessary. Ideas are developed on a PC before traditional production.
