About this artwork
When I created Angel Playing the Flute, I was inspired by the poetic world of the Pre-Raphaelites — their devotion to beauty, harmony, and quiet spirituality. In particular, I reflected on the lyrical atmosphere found in the works of Edward Burne-Jones, where music, light, and inner stillness merge.
As I painted, I imagined the angel’s melody flowing softly through the air, filling the space with serenity and grace. Gentle tones, refined lines,… and careful detailing create a sense of timeless elegance and contemplative calm.
Angel Playing the Flute is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, hand-signed by the artist. Created for discerning collectors, it brings a sense of spiritual beauty, refinement, and classical resonance into both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Inspired by the shifting light of the Baltic Sea, my work explores light, depth, and space.
I create atmospheric paintings where color and texture form a quiet, contemplative presence.
My works are conceived as focal points for refined contemporary interiors.
Elena Gerasimova is a Latvian contemporary artist and Honorary Member of the International Academy of Contemporary Art, as well as a member of the Professional Union of Artists and the Unified Register of Professional Artists.
