This bouquet of white and purple peonies began for me as a memory of that moment when a room suddenly feels brighter just because someone puts flowers on the table. I wanted the canvas to hold that same quiet miracle: petals opening in waves of cream, lilac and deep plum, leaning into each other, almost too many for one vase. Painted with generous, layered brushstrokes so the flowers feel almost sculpted from colour and light.

The rich purples bring depth and sophistication, while the whites keep everything luminous and fresh.
