“A combination of black, pink and off-white. The canvas exudes a peculiar luminosity, thanks to the white spatulas and the glossy finish that enhances and accentuates the movement determined by the use of the spatula. Texture and contrast are key elements that define the aesthetic of "Pink". The canvas is not static, but rather lives and breathes through its dynamic and sinuous strokes. The contrasts between the dark and bright tones, as well… as between the different textures created by the spatula strokes, add depth and visual interest to the work as a whole.
Pink plays a significant role in the composition, not just being a color among others, but taking on a central and dominant role. This particular shade of pink takes the place of red, the predominant color in the "Urban Tracks" series to which the work belongs.”
