About this artwork
Colorful Geology is a painting where pressure is the protagonist.
The layering and pressure applied with the spatula create colorful vortices that expand from the center towards the outside of the canvas.
My gestural technique allows the work to be created in a single session.
Instinct, erasure, and gesture make this painting unique and unrepeatable. The medium-sized painting is the perfect size for a modern, designer living room. The painting… expresses well-being, but at the same time, the erasure on the canvas evokes a sense of uneasiness, which is why the eye wanders endlessly throughout the painting.
There are many details that lead us to observe the painting without it appearing banal.
It holds up a wall by itself.
🏆 winner of a group exhibition in Via Margutta in Rome, Arte in caos, selected for the exhibition Arte è donna. Winner of a group exhibition in Via Margutta (Absolutely Light) She works with mixed media on canvas, integrating her research into contemporary abstract painting. She uses a gestural, layered, and process-based style of painting, where instinctive gestures and erasures create surfaces filled with tension, balance, and constant metamorphosis. Her works convey profound emotions, engaging with themes of memory and time through intense colors and visible traces, communicating the strength of emotional states and the urge to express oneself.
