About this artwork
In this work, I painted a dreamlike scene where the tangible meets the abstract, inviting reflection on the afterlife. The celestial hues alongside the vibrant structures evoke a mystical harmony. This canvas invites one to dive into a visual meditation.
EVIAL develops a contemporary figurative painting centered on the human figure. His faces and figures tell no stories. They possess a state, a presence, an inner tension.
The painting is created without preparation, in a direct relationship to gesture, color and matter. What matters is not the representation but what remains: a fragile balance between appearance and erasure.
The figures, frontal and silent, are organized around simple and stable forms where the presence of the Moai acts as a universal and timeless form.
A self-taught artist, EVIAL lives and works in France. Her work has been presented at Art Capital and is the subject of curatorial selections.
His works are now present in private collections in France and internationally.
