About this artwork
A decorative blanket, not for hanging on the wall like a painting, but intended for everyday use. I had at my disposal many colorful yarns, wool with different weaves, types and thicknesses. Some more, some less - something needs to be done about that. The base color is black. They are separated by narrower and wider stripes in various shades of orange, rust and brown. At greater intervals there is a thin golden stripe made of lurex yarn or decorative…
stripes with white tufts and hairs. Some of the stripes have a texture made of the same or different yarns. The back of the blanket is black. This wool picture is mounted on a fabric (taffeta microfiber). A delicate, fluffy lining is attached inside, which gives it thickness. Everything is handmade, it took a lot of time. Each work is unique.
