THE EGG - canvas cm.90x68
Symbol of the primordial origin of the world, the egg, brings every element back to its original purity, purifying matter, healing the world from corruption. Also, the egg is seen as a symbol of rebirth, of purification, from its shell comes out the purified living being, ready for a new life. Without sin. The image of the woman coming out of the egg, is immersed in a magma of color, as my custom in "action painting", to… signify all the dangers outside one's shell. A pictorial figuration rich in ancestral and symbolic meanings.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
