About this artwork
Inspired in the pliage paintings of French painter Simon Hantai. I started this piece several years after a visit to the Centre Pompidou to see his retrospective work. The text and the image were generated randomly when tying the fabric . I have now completed the piece during the forced "stay at home" of 2020 using a spatula. Acrylic paint on denim fabric, gallery stretched, wired and ready to hang.
