About this artwork
"On the Beach" reports on the lifestyle in summer. The darker colors of winter are replaced by the pastel tones of summer. The special light here in the north shows itself impressively on the beach of the sea with the reflections in the shallow water and the endless expanse of the beach. The waves surf gently and steadily on the beach and tempt you to relax and meditate. This is what this quickly designed work is about. The sketch-like final glaze… with the translucent primer in sand tones reflects the wave motion on the water's edge. The scene looks light and lively, like the feeling of life in summer.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
