About this artwork
Summer on the north-west coast of Denmark is very special due to the high sky and the wide untouched beach. Stormy winds and rough surf characterize this coast. This primeval nature has a special effect on the visitor when he is alone in this scenery. Capturing this impression captivates every painter. The deep horizon in the painting shows the sandy beach and the fast moving clouds in the high sky on the west coast of Northern Denmark. The colors… are in shades of blue and sand and the painting was created in impulsive brush strokes. The bright colors and the sketch-like layout of the painting express the lightness of the Nordic summer and leave the viewer room for inspiration.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
