About this artwork
In this artwork, I captured the passion and the intimate moment of silence using pastel colors on cardboard. The soft texture and the warm color transitions between red and the diffuse background create a sensual atmosphere. The slightly twisted body of the figure in the red dress symbolizes both desire and restraint. This image captures the essence of feminine grace and emotional depth, bringing a vibrant, emotional energy to any home.
Irmtraut Behrens, an artist from Bremen, uses acrylic paint and canvas, but started with pastel chalk on cardboard. Her palette ranges from erotic images of women, abstract works to animal images. Her style is variable, always characterized by a strong sensitivity. Irmtraut's art embodies the feeling of joy. It makes her happy when someone decides to live with her works. In 1999 she moved to Husum on the beautiful North Sea coast with its wonderful light and cloud formations. Exhibitions in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Denmark were quite successful.
