About this artwork
While walking along a path to the sea on Hvar Island, Croatia, I encountered remarkable cacti that appeared like living beings stretching their arms toward me. The light filtering through them was mesmerizing, compelling me to grab my painting supplies. This artwork, filled with warmth and light, evokes pleasant positive emotions, capturing the beauty and tranquility of that moment.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
