About this artwork
The work explores the encounter between two opposing yet complementary dimensions: Earth, solid and rooted, and Air, light and ever-moving. Through the contrast of warm and cool tones, the circular composition suggests a dynamic balance, in which matter dissolves into light and breath becomes form.
The silver leaf acts as a bridge between these two elements, capturing and reflecting light to evoke a sense of suspension, as if time had momentarily… frozen.
The fluid movements of acrylic colors reflect the continuous transformation of nature: what is solid opens up, what is impalpable takes shape.
"Terra Aria" is a visual dialogue between weight and lightness, roots and breath: an invitation to rediscover the harmony between matter and the invisible.
« For me, art is a personal, almost intimate moment, capable of gathering my moods of the moment. In that instant, my creativity takes over rationality. »
Ivana Urso is an Italian artist whose research develops through matter, sign and layering. His works explore the relationship between memory, nature, and interior space, creating suspended surfaces where white becomes a place of silence, transformation, and listening. Through material textures, gestural traces, and essential colors, his work investigates fragile balances between presence and fading, evoking interior landscapes and ever-evolving organic memories. The Oltre il Bianco series represents a journey dedicated to the relationship between light, matter and time.
