About this artwork
The Singularity Series approaches the human body not as a fixed structure, but as a condition shaped by tension, memory, and time. Rather than emphasizing dramatic transformation, these paintings attend to subtle shifts—moments when form loosens and reorganizes under pressure. Figures blur or merge with their surroundings, not as escape, but as adaptation within persistent boundaries.
The works trace what remains after rupture, where presence and… disappearance overlap rather than oppose one another. Through the slow accumulation of oil, hesitation and endurance emerge in layered gestures, and the canvas becomes a space where structure and vulnerability coexist.
Singularity reflects on how the body continues within instability and limits, suggesting that persistence itself is a form of becoming.
