About this artwork
In my artwork, which is based on a digital photograph, I play with contrasts and the silence of the night, interrupted only by the gentle sound of the sea. The bright red umbrella stands as a color accent against the deep, mysterious blue of the night sky and the sea, it awakens longings for calm and peaceful solitude. This picture is intended to create an oasis of calm and reflection in your home. Using self-created filters, a reference to the works… of Lichtenstein is also created, especially through the use of Ben Day dots and lines as a pop art aesthetic.

Jochen Cerny, a multi-talent from Düsseldorf, combines photography with digital art and creates a unique visual experience through his “CMPB technique”. His work translates standard photography into highly abstract structures, playing with color manipulation and exposure to create photo paintings that push the boundaries of the medium. Cerny's art fills the viewer with positive energy, dominated by an atmosphere that does not tell stories, but rather touches deeply through color spectrums.
