About this artwork
Lost & Found marks a place in my artistic path when my work changed. Kind of like when you “pin” a place on a map, that’s how I see it in my mind. It was a time when I was feeling a bit lost. I was challenged to bring a work to conclusion. Often I felt frustrated but I kept painting. With previous paintings I had experienced an out-of-body sensation, but this one came straight from my soul. It painted itself and when it was over I knew on an intuitive… level it was complete. I had reached a new level in my painting journey. It was my perseverance and painting everyday that had built my skill level and my confidence. I learned that a painting was complete when I felt it was. It happens on an intuitive level. One just knows its done. And so the image of Lost & Found is now “pinned” on my “mind map” as a reminder of discovery and growth.
PS: The intention behind Lost & Found was based on the art elements of lost and found edges.
