About this artwork
Almost D&G is named after a colour. That dusty blue brushing into dusty lilac Dolce & Gabbana keep returning to in couture — the shade that reads luxurious without being loud. I wanted that exact tonality on canvas, but on my terms. Almost theirs. Not quite.
I built the work as a large-scale explosion radiating from one point of tension — dusty blue, soft mauve, muted lilac, layered until the surface holds light the way fine fabric does. No saturation,… just a quiet haze.
I sealed everything under epoxy resin. The resin gives the dust its depth, the surface its mirror, and lets the painting shift with the room as the day moves.
This is not about fashion. It is about how a single colour can hold an entire mood.
