There is a moment during a downpour when the glass stops being transparent. It becomes a surface — alive, moving, holding everything the sky is throwing at it.
This is the second panel of L'Averse. It carries the same storm as its twin, but the rhythm is different — the way two windows in the same room never catch rain the same way. Bronze tones warm the silver, and fine lines of cobalt blue appear like veins of sky trapped between layers of cloud.…
The acrylic surface is textured and dimensional. Light moves across it constantly — cool in the morning, warm by evening. The edges are painted in a soft dusty blue.
