About this artwork
Sunny Poppy is a single bloom caught in full summer light — the moment when red is so saturated it vibrates, and the sun cuts through every petal until the flower glows from inside.
I painted it as a burst from the centre outward — fiery reds, sun-warmed oranges, luminous whites. Layered acrylic, fast brushwork, organic gestures. I wanted the surface to feel like the flower itself — alive in the second before the wind moves it.
The composition is… dynamic but not loud. There is softness inside the heat, white space inside the colour. It works the way a real poppy does — impossible to ignore, impossible to look at for long without feeling something open up.
This is a painting for a room that needs warmth. Not decoration. Presence.
