About this artwork
Can you smell a bouquet of red, pink and carmine roses?
I was walking along the sidewalks of Milan when I came across a shop full of roses with intense tones. It was impossible not to stop. Back in the studio, I followed that visual and olfactory memory.
In my paintings, abstraction starts from nature, to fix it and take it with it.
Here, pink, red and carmine intertwine in a composition that evokes energy, love and vitality.
Gold, present as… reflected light, illuminates and embellishes the surface.
The structure is born from the intersection of circles, a harmonious geometric shape that welcomes and guides the gaze towards the center.
Abstract art leaves room for imagination: everyone can see a flower, an emotion, or just rhythm and color.
It is precisely this freedom, for me, that is its deepest value.
Laura Rota's work moves between depth and lightness, combining intimacy and energy. Her artistic journey, rooted in a connection with art that has accompanied her throughout her family history, experienced a turning point when, as a teenager, she discovered the power of abstraction to convey meanings that go beyond representation.
His abstract-geometric style is based on the harmony between form and color. The circle is central to his work: it represents purity, balance, and emotional resonance. Each work is hand-painted with full, defined colors, without the use of masks, to preserve the authenticity of the gesture. The golden spaces, symbols of energy and light, illuminate the compositions. Modular and rhythmic, his paintings offer visual balance and invite contemplation, and like contemporary mandalas they open spaces where emotions and thoughts can flow freely. Laura loves all seasons but dreams of traveling the world chasing spring.
