About this artwork
Ascendant Stiletto explores structural tension through contrast. Raw driftwood, shaped by time and environment, is paired with gold to examine elevation, refinement, and balance within a single form.
The piece considers the relationship between load and lift. Organic mass carries visual weight while the vertical gold spiral introduces upward movement and controlled tension. What appears fragile is supported by structure. What appears heavy is made… to rise.
The stiletto silhouette functions as both symbol and framework. It references precision, discipline, and engineered balance. The form holds because opposing forces are intentionally aligned.
This work marks a shift toward a more architectural sculptural direction, where material contrast becomes a study in structure, compression, and refinement.
