Over the Rainbow (2022) is an emotionally complex work that immerses itself in a dazzling spectrum of color. Flowing structures, cells, layers, and metallic accents unfold in vertically arranged segments like a vibrant mosaic of moods. The color palette ranges from deep turquoise through iridescent gold and violet tones to luminous pink and yellow shimmers—a visual echo reminiscent of a prism of emotions.
The artwork combines movement and structure:… each individual strip tells its own little story, while the overall image acts like a colored curtain through which light, energy, and emotions shine. Maja Weller is an accomplished painter who uses acrylic and modeling paste, pigments and lime, gold foil and art metal in her works.
