About this artwork
The figures appear isolated, yet they are together in a space; perhaps they intertwine, creating an energy of introspection and communion. Different moments, perhaps, of the same person, and seemingly silent... perhaps a long chorus, almost a shout. Silence was very important to me during the work. The work conveys a profound and meditative atmosphere. The drawing technique of pastel, pencil, pigments, and pen still creates a sort of monochrome.…
There are many narrative contexts that I thought of simultaneously for this work: one is certainly Orpheus' journey to Eurydice, but also women and men from all eras.

I was born in Rome and have a solid background in set design. I have worked as a set and costume designer with major directors in Italy and abroad. My imaginative world often draws on narrative. I use pastels on silk and fine paper, oil, mixed media, textural art, and digital art, blending classical roots with theatricality. Technical exploration and ongoing research are grounded in rigorous technical assurance. My works explore the concept of the "double" of the person, the mask, myth, and the sacred in a figurative style suspended between dream and metaphysics, animated by a joyful and powerful line. My creations convey a visionary force, yet I invite the viewer to find their own meaning in a living narrative.
