About this artwork
In this piece, I used gravure to weave a semi-abstract silhouette filled with vibrant leaves, blending human form and nature. I sought to evoke growth, transformation, and the delicate connection between our inner worlds and the natural cycle. This artwork will bring a sense of introspective calm and organic energy to your space, inspiring reflection and renewal.
Mercè Domènech Ferret, born in Barcelona, is an interior architect turned painter, shaped by her extended stay and experiences in Cuba.
Her work is deeply influenced by the luminous landscapes she has inhabited — the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and currently the French Provence — as well as the emotional landscapes that move within her.
Her paintings, infused with Mediterranean-Caribbean warmth and vitality, radiate peace, joyful clarity, and soulful freshness.
Her work unfolds in two main directions: on one hand, abstract marine compositions that evoke the rhythm and luminosity of the sea; on the other, freer abstractions where spontaneity and inner landscapes take center stage.
