About this artwork
In this work I used the vibrant energy and striking colors of the Pop Art style to create a deep reflection on individuality and communal values.
The collage of portraits brings each figure to life and challenges viewers to reflect on the meaning of “right” and “wrong” in our societal context.
Deepest humanity, sacrifice, fight for justice and equality.
Only a portrait disturbs the picture. One person is wrong here.
With each glance, a new element… of the story comes together, bringing excitement and dynamic discussion to every room.
This work comes directly from my studio and has never been sold or exhibited in an art gallery, museum or auction before. It should be stretched on a stretcher frame (135x100x2cm). The canvas is approx. 145x110cm.
Artwork hand painted with acrylic paint on canvas.
Shaped by love and loss, Michael Kuhn manifests himself in his works through the use of acrylic on canvas, markers and spray cans. With an affinity for pop art and street art, he nevertheless rejects categorization, his works are anchored in the present and are a tribute to artists such as Dali, van Gogh and Warhol. His art is the expression of his charged soul and allows him to connect with his fear and his pride at the same time.
