"Ascent" continues the exploration of emergence and transformation at the heart of the Beginning series. Here, textured forms rise rhythmically through a cool, atmospheric field, suggesting a movement from depth toward light. The surface shimmers with subtle tonal shifts—greys, silvers, and muted golds—that capture… the tension between earthbound matter and ethereal release. To me, this work reflects the quiet resilience of beginnings: the steady climb, the trust in upward momentum, and the beauty found in the spaces between effort and surrender.
In dialogue with "Drift", "Ascent" embodies a counterpoint—where one speaks of letting go, the other speaks of rising, both gestures forming part of the cycle of transformation that defines this series.
