About this artwork
Smooth background of blended layers of acrylic paint in earth tones of white & parchment, Sienna, Umber. There is some random texture of molding paste in white adding to the dimension but not overpowering the painting, as seen in the photos.. India Ink of gold, bronze and copper finish the painting. This painting that can be hung on four rotations. A peaceful place inside your mind where you allow yourself to free fall, knowing that it’s a journey…

Monique J Dufour is a Canadian self-taught artist based in Spain, who has exhibited her work throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Whilst on a trip to France in 2013, she picked up a paintbrush and never looked back, now busying herself daily with her luminous, intriguing abstract compositions.
