This work is a testament to my own inner quest. Initially, there was this burst of inspiration, this desire to create a column of light where a silhouette could be discerned. But I chose not to finish it, to make it beautiful or perfect. I left it as it was, to capture the present moment, this fleeting moment, and this effort to reach the light.
Nora Boulesnane's work explores the paradox of our condition through a free, instinctive, and multifaceted expression. Primarily inspired by the psychology of Carl Jung and the collective unconscious, the artist explores materials to create powerful thematic collections, conceived as markers of personal growth and self-discovery.
In her studio, her approach is total, raw, and unrestrained: she paints with a knife, a brush, her fingers, or a rag, repurposing tools to etch motifs into the texture. Far from seeking conventional beauty or confining herself to a single style, her work also embraces spontaneous and varied creations. Whether she is working on therapeutic projects or on canvases of pure impulse, Nora Boulesnane gives free rein to an ever-evolving exploration, guided by the absolute freedom of gesture.
