In this piece, I captured the fusion of reality and dreams through watercolors, exploring the soft, transient moments of daydreaming. The ethereal blend of hues encircling the figure conveys her gentle immersion in a sea of thoughts and fresh blooms that highlight her reverie and optimism. This artwork is meant to bring an atmosphere of contemplation and subtle joy to any space, inviting the viewer to pause and float in their own tranquil musings.… This young woman with a flower wreath on her head symbolizes the beginning of summer, the growing energy of fertility.
The Renaissance, which revived the ancient tradition of depicting the seasons in the form of ancient gods, associated Summer with the fertility goddess Ceres (Greek Demeter). In painting of the XV-XVII centuries the personified season - Summer - is depicted as a young woman with a sickle and ears of corn or with sheaves. Can also be depicted as a naked woman with cereals or fruits.
