About this artwork
This work brings me back to the circle—the most ancient symbol of continuity. I painted it to remind myself that each ending is also a beginning. The rhythms and colors loop endlessly, just as the calendar does, just as life does.
Pedram Bohluli is a self-taught painter with sculptural roots, working primarily in mixed media on canvas using techniques honed through hands-on exploration and global study. He employs richly pigmented acrylics, palette-knife strokes, transparent glazes, and textural mark-making to create neo-symbolist abstractions pulsing with luminous depth. His work fuses ancient Persian motifs with contemporary gestures, conveying emotions of resilience, transformation, wonder, and the timeless human search for meaning.
