About this artwork
The Black Forest is a region in southern Germany where the artist has her studio. The view of the mountains with the forests in front is spectacular here. This work was inspired by that. In the very abstract landscape one senses a path that leads into a forest in the depths of the picture. The mountains rise behind. The "sky" above it fills the room and takes up a good 2/3 of the canvas. Dynamic shapes and vibrant colors dominate the canvas here.…
The picture was painted in a special technique with furniture stains, spray paint and ink on an extremely large canvas. The landscape leaves plenty of room for your own feelings and interpretation. Golden tones of orange contrast with various shades of blue through to dark browns and greens.
