About this artwork
This series is the opposite counterpart of my 'Chaos'.
Indeed, it is no longer a question of expressing an explosion of shapes and colors, but rather a slow and meditative (re-)construction. Thus, splashes and drips give way to bricks of light and my research becomes simpler: rather than a cry I sought the harmony of colors...
Here, the different colors are organized in a structured way, and I hope, each in its place, according to the size that… should suit it, without clashing too much with the overall harmony. However, this sought-after harmony is not an artificial softness, but a balance, through contrasts or gradations, between darkness and light, dullness and liveliness.
