In the same vein as Edward Hopper, this meticulously painted landscape captures the view from right outside of my studio window, capturing all of the lines and vibrant colors of Los Angeles and Culver City. The cool blue sky is inviting and the city is being constructed in the background, as can be seen by the bright red crane in the left of the picture conveying never-ending progress and gentrification as an expensive new condo shoots up into view.… Birds sit on telephone wires and one specifically stares back at the viewer quizzically, as if to say "What are YOU looking at?".
Note: This painting is painted on wood and comes framed. It is hang ready.
This painting is signed on the back and includes my Certificate of Authenticity.

Preston M. Smith is an exciting American painter whose works have been widely exhibited across the United States. Interested in construction and deconstruction, and always seeking to work in a state of pure emotion, he composes striking abstract paintings and inventive portraits that reflect order in chaos, beauty in madness.
