About this artwork
I am a textile artist creating sustainable fibre art deeply connected to nature, material and seasonal cycles. By combining traditional textile techniques with a contemporary approach, my work is grounded in rural life — in the quiet rhythms, textures, surfaces and raw honesty of the surrounding landscape.
Rather than replicating nature, I translate its presence — growth, change, and seasonal movement — into textile and material language. A close… relationship with time, land and fibre shapes my slow, process-led practice, exploring the connections between maker and material, landscape and body, tradition and contemporary expression.
The tapestry "The beginning" is made of waste materials from textile industries. I wove this tapestry as a symbolic beginning for the journey as a full-time textile and fibre artist.
