About this artwork
There is a silent beauty in this face, an empty space that speaks louder than words. "Unspoken" is the name of what remains suspended between the lips, never spoken, perhaps never even confessed to oneself. The direct gaze, both fragile and determined, invites us to imagine a story held back, an emotion left behind, like a truth that does not find the courage to come out. The colors vibrate but do not shout, as if the unsaid had a secret language,… made of soft lights and barely hinted shadows. In this timeless figure - white hair and young skin - past truths and future desires overlap, dreams that have not yet completely died out. The face remains there, balanced, between what is shown and what is hidden, between what one wants to say and what one can never say again. It is a portrait that does not explain, but remains. Like an incomplete sentence that continues to live in the mind of the listener, like a missed caress that is remembered forever.
My name is Reginaldo Albanese, professionally known as errealbanese. My artistic research explores the relationship between the sacred, identity, and image in an era in which the face no longer represents the individual, but rather the collective myth. I use digital technology as a revelatory medium: each work does not describe reality, but the fracture that generates it. I work in one-off editions on Dibond metal with a museum-quality plexiglass finish, and in some cases on wood with acrylic accents. My main series—Traghettamenti, Ritratti Impossibili, In Principio C'era il Corpo, Bang Fumetti d'Autore, Frammenti Sacri, Sovranità, and Maschere—explore the face as an icon, not an identity. I exhibit on Singulart with collectors in Europe, America, and Asia. I was selected for 100 Artists of Italy 2025 and awarded as a UK Artist—Top 10 London, with publication in L'Espresso. I believe that art does not reproduce the world: it questions it and re-establishes it.
