About this artwork
This canvas is an ode to the Mediterranean as seen from the French Riviera, where the light becomes sculptural and the sea a living mirror. I worked with a squeezer, layering light and deep blues, close to ultramarine, to capture the changing depths of the water. The drips evoke the unpredictable movement of the waves, as if the canvas itself held the energy of the sea.
Touches of metallic gold paint, inspired by the sacred symbolism of the sun… in Mayan culture, illuminate the surface and create a visual vibration with the blue of the deep sea, like an encounter between the mystery of the abyss and celestial power.
This work conveys that feeling of freedom and freshness that one feels in the face of the immensity of the water: a sea breeze, a dancing light, and the call of the horizon.

« An invisible canvas weaves links between all things, it is this idea that I want to develop through my artistic work. »
