About this artwork
This stencil plays on a gradient of blue: from light at the top, evoking the surface, to dark at the bottom, symbolizing depth. A metaphor for the human soul, between what we show and what we hide deep within ourselves. Two eyes are visible, one open and the other closed, like a boundary between the conscious and the unconscious.
This form is consistent with the artist's graphic language, which here seeks to be refined and concise. The drawing… is reduced to a single line, both simple and expressive.
The spray-painted artwork evokes the world of urban art, with its instinctive and spontaneous gesture. This creates a striking contrast between the raw energy of the spray can and the precision of the carefully controlled stencil contours.
