About this artwork
The shape of this stencil on paper is reminiscent of the Linea, a cartoon from the 70s. It is also a form straight out of the graphic vocabulary of the artist who attempts in this series to be concise, synthetic in the different glyphs proposed. This one is mainly made up of a single line that defines it.
Inside, a universe comes to life, this time like a sunset sky, the gradient from pink to purple symbolizes a gentle and spiritual transition,… inviting contemplation, leaving free interpretation to the viewer.
The color, applied with spray paint, brings the world of urban art and its instinctive and rapid use into this work.
A contrast is therefore created between the wild side of the spray and the very controlled side of the stencil contours.

Rimp is a talented painter from France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Inspired by artists like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Keith Haring, he developed his own style combining cubist influences and Mayan art. His abstract work is characterized by geometric forms in india ink or acyrlics, taking on the form of unique creatures and human forms.
