"Twilight" is a modern figurative acrylic painting that captures the duality of light and darkness. The artwork presents a mysterious couple, their gazes directed in the same direction. The powerful contrast and play of light and shadow create a deep emotional atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the symbolic journey of souls as they wander between the radiant heights of light and the mysterious depths of darkness.
In my artwork I use bold acrylic paints… to create an emotional and intuitive depiction of figures in a semi-abstract style. The combination of Art Brut and naive art gives the piece a raw, energetic atmosphere. My intention is to encourage the viewer to reflect on the deeper meaning of human existence and our connections to one another. This painting brings a dynamic and thoughtful energy to any home.
I like to listen to the shadows, because they tell the best stories: those of the light. My studio is wherever the forest is. In my work, I search for what waits beneath the surface: the psychological states that reveal themselves in a distorted face, the silence a forest knows and a human has forgotten. I work with acrylics, charcoal and photography – sometimes together, sometimes against each other. What interests me is the interior: what shows itself when you look closely enough – in people, in forests, in dreams. What drives me is a thought that runs through everything I do: humans are not masters of nature. We are part of it – and the more we forget that, the more we lose ourselves.
