About this artwork
In this painting, I explore the stark yet serene beauty of a winter landscape, juxtaposed with the warmth of human creation. The snow-covered stones and the glowing embers of a small fire speak to the resilience and simplicity of nature against the chill. The subdued palette underscores quiet moments of contemplation, inviting the viewer into a tranquil, almost meditative state. This work celebrates the delicate balance between enduring solitude… and comforting warmth, resonating with a profound silence that both isolates and embraces.
This is acrylic on three hollow core wood panels. Each panel measures 80" high by 36" wide. Overall, it's 80" high by 108" wide. It's hung with a simple wood French cleat.
Please look at the images carefully. This is painted very loosely with quick brushstrokes and intentional "irregularities" and drips inherent with painting.
« I’m attracted to items built or left by others that weren’t intended to be objects to contemplate. I want to be to art what Robert Frost is to poetry. »
