About this artwork
Last four years he changed the approach to his paintings due to the surreal time he left. He changed his view of the world. Steven has become a lot more spiritual, and if that's the reason, he doesn't know, but he is dreaming a lot more. The reflection of dreams is the basis of surrealists, influenced by Freud's philosophy. In his case, Lamb is not sure if his works are surrealistic or fantastic. Steven has used images and photos as a reference to create the vision into a realistic painting. The idea is that life is a circus and the people are alienated and everybody is playing his game.

Steven Lamb is an award-winning artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and Brazil. Creating in a distinctive style which he describes as being both whimsical and grotesque, he views his works as a tool for social commentary, not to criticize, but rather, to amuse and entertain. Lamb takes viewers on a journey through the streets of Montreal and Paris, often portraying café scenes, circuses, musicians, and clowns.
