About this artwork
Do we control our thoughts, or do they control us?
Self-Talk reflects the shifting nature of inner dialogue — a space where thoughts move between clarity and intrusion, insight and repetition. Multiple inner voices coexist within a single structure, sometimes in harmony, sometimes in tension.
The work invites quiet reflection on the unseen conversations that shape how we think, feel, and perceive ourselves.
This work is part of the Inner Space… series — two oil paintings exploring the female figure as interior space rather than subject: a container for invisible processes, inner states, and the forces that move through us. The companion work Vessel is available on my profile.
Tetiana Gryshchenko is a Ukrainian conceptual artist working in geometric abstraction with influences of sacred geometry and symbolic minimalism. Her practice is grounded in the belief that everything in the universe is interconnected — through form, memory, and consciousness. She constructs compositions from circles, squares, and archetypal structures, creating symbolic systems that explore identity, harmony, and cultural memory. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Florence Biennale and art fairs.
