In this piece, Drifting Memories, I explore the feeling of memory as something layered and shifting. Soft veils of grey and white hold traces of rusty warmth beneath the surface. Pops of pink surprise the darker areas. The surface is built slowly, allowing textures, marks and lines to emerge and dissolve.
This piece forms part of The Dreaming Ground, a series where I focus on atmosphere, sensation and the subtle traces that linger over time.
